Still busy but trying out my cellphone app for posts… Lets see.
From the bird market — sometimes there is an itch you just have to scratch…
Fine fine, here is your dosage of booth girl.
Otakon’s Crabby is hanging out in style..
That is all for today’s spam.
Day 6 in Japan – since the other half of the team was handling the second public day at TAF, I slept in a little bit. I also wandered around the hotel, got lost, dropped a camera battery somewhere in Shinjuku, found the Gundam, helped pack the booth, and brain fried when Jim got into Tokyo.
I’m quite sleepy now. ^_^;;
I paused on Day 4 of the trip to do some essential but uninteresting things, like laundry. Of course, finding a coin laundry in Shinjuku was a bit odd, and finding the “LOVE” sign sitting in Shinjuku’s government district threw me off for a bit.
Took in a meeting, then popped over to Shibuya to watch Kylee’s Tokyo show. The band and Kylee seemed happy to see us. Ended the day with Chinese food. One step away from take out, but pretty decent. That’s what happens when you’re in Shinjuku on a friday night and just want something fast for dinner..
Day Three was the first day of TAF, which ends up being a business day.
I won’t comment on how I think TAF was or is turning out – but it is hard to not notice the change in size after the earthquake, legislation, and general changes in the industry. It will be interesting to see how the industry adapts.
Anyway, here are some photos from the day.
After the brutal damage to my legs and rear end on the bikes from Day 1, it was off to Tokyo Big Sight to set up the Otakon booth for TAF.
This ended up being an all day affair, with the booth attempting to cut my head off sometime after lunch..
The rest of the random photos are in the Lytro gallery..
My first full day in Japan was actually a national holiday. As a result, most of business that day was conducted while visiting staff members, not in Tokyo but in Miebashi.
…. Miebashi is best explored by bike, so I spent six hours on a bike. This hurt.
Photos were mostly only on the Lytro, which you can see here.. https://pictures.lytro.com/WhatChuLookingAt/stories/11435
