Tomorrow, I head down to Atlantic City, for a weekend of celebrating birthdays (THREE OF THEM), partying like a rockstar (well at least I’ll be drinking rockstars), and gambling.
Warning, warning, SHARK IN THE WATER!
I’m going to be a shark amongst the sharks. We’ll see if my instincts have continued to improve. Here’s hoping I net a few monster hands at the no-limit tables. XD

Humm.
I need a WoW or other Fantasy mmorpg costumer, to pose for a random goofy little photo. This is not for pay or anything serious, just a funny little thought that just crossed my head.
I also need an office location, preferably a cubicle of some sort.

This is in direct reference to this post.
Adam P. Knave Smooth. Like gravel. - Crotch fire.
For reference, here is a simple GIF animation. Watch it. Examine it. Study it. You will be quizzed in a moment.
Now see, here’s my thought. If you are stupid enough to spray your own crotch with some sort of ignitable liquid, then set it on fire… You likely do NOT belong in the gene pool. This kid’s so called friends are actually doing humanity a service by practicing what I have taken to calling Active Darwinism.
Discuss. Maybe someone can help shed some light on why someone would ever do this to themselves.

A few random tidbits to entertain and dismay.
-
Its an absolutely beautiful day here in the city. Blue sky, cool spring weather, the flowers are popping up everywhere.. A wonderful day to be indoors and feeling the full impact of this fully functional battle station allergy season.
-
Tax season is near its end! Its April 15th, either you’ve paid up or you’re still working, but don’t worry the pain is almost over. Unless you’re one of the procrastinators that likes to file extensions. For you there’s still another 2-4 months or more of pain, suffering, anticipation and dread.
-
TANSTAAFL. Unless you’re a rich trust fund baby. In you case, TSATAAFL.

Fans of the female body, rejoice. With the warm weather the eye candy will be there for you to see. So will the eye poison, the hidden traps, bait, and the occasional slap in the face.
-
Fans of the male body, rejoice. With the warm weather the eye candy will be there for you to see. Also appearing tonight will be plumber’s crack, hairy back, the wholf whistler and the occasional slap in the butt.

I checked out my profile in one of the dating applications on Facebook. Being open to opportunity is good. This also means I’m open to the scathing power of the fully functional battle station internet. Out of 150 some odd screenings, I ranked zero in the “would date” category, ranking me in the lowest percentile of Facebook. Mmmmm, excellent confidence builder — i t brings to mind a classic quote… “why don’t you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it? We’re closed!”

I slipped my spinal column back into place on my own this morning. This felt wonderful. …. …… I slipped my spinal column back into place on my own.

I applied for a debt consolidation loan. If it passes, I may be able to look at moving by the end of the summer. If it fails, I’ll have slapped my credit rating back by half a year for nothing.

The price of oil is at an all time high! However, the cost of walking remains the same!

This is the end of the post. I’ve run out of beautiful dismaying thoughts.
You know this sounded like a fun post at the start, but I really did run out of things to say. Whoops.

… not enough hours in the day. Preparations for TAF are behind schedule (sorry Nik and others waiting on files), my real job is behind schedule (I’m wearing about 10 hats at work. My head has been flattened.), and I’m scrambling to try and keep up with obligations (both real and imagined.)
In short, its the usual with me right now. Nothing compared to the very real and significant stressors that some of my friends are feeling. Nonetheless I’ve got my hands on too many things as always, and need to take time to relax and be a person instead of “the guy machine who gets shit done.”
— insert wahbulance intermission here —
Went out on badly needed unwind-dinner yesterday, stuffed silly, and the -itis stole me away for a full night’s sleep.
Have found myself oddly addicted to Final Fantasy Chocobo Chronicles on the DS during my commute. Its child-like but the mini-games are decent, and a good way to idle away some time. Have also been doing alot of SEGA Casino Craps. My commute is long and filled with trivial pursuits.
Read three books while cooking and doing chores this past weekend, in a typical crazy mix it was the latest Myth Inc. book by Asprin and Nye, an alternate history book by Harry Turtledove, and the latest in the Darkwar trilogy by Feist. Next up on the list is more pop fantasy and sci-fi, I’ve got an E.E. Knight book (Valentine series) and the latest Drizzt book (Terry thought to himself that these books and monologues never end) to tear through. After that, I get back to the Legends of King Arthur and when I brace myself to do it, the entire set of Sherlock Holmes mysteries. … Makes me crave a little bit of classic fiction tho — Three Musketeers anyone?
— end wahbulance intermission —
Anyhow, chocolate covered altoids and the lack of time to do anything but panic about my lack of time have set me back on the “ball of blubber” route. That’s one thing that should reverse in Tokyo — I lost 10 lbs while out there last time from all the walking.
…. mmmmmmm moss burger…

Still at about 10 times the normal volume of work, I’m basically project managing over 160 separate mailings simultaneously.

On a different note — one of the fun parts of going out to Atlantic City (other than hanging out briefly with Dave, Lea, Justin, Evan and Ken(nnnnn) were the personalities that sat down at the table.
One gentleman who sat down thinking he was a hotshot, winning one pot at the beginning then going nuts and busting out within an hour because he “hated” anyone who subsequently beat him.. (Including me..) Another person who sat down and shook his legs so badly the entire table was shaking… and one person who sat down with a bag of cigars that he was giving away and a bowl of pistachio nuts.. A cigar and salty nuts — just WHAT are you saying when you sit down?
There were three asian girls that sat down, two playing and one on the side. The girl on the side kept watching the game — and the only reason people didn’t scream “collusion” was because they were fun players, cute and they kept losing money.. Before you ask — I sat there the whole night wondering if I should know them. In particular the girl at the back observing, because she looked like a cross between TWO girls I have liked in the past. It was very very very very strange — and I think I creeped her out with my constant glances, because I kept going in my head, “Shit, should I know her?? Whtf??!” (and no, I did not get their numbers. They were very standoffish and ultimately very young as well. Classic “I have my parents money” type..)
Anyhow — I know I did well lasting 6 hours on one buyin when the real fish were sitting down and either busting out in 20 minutes or blowing through multiple buyins on the hour.
Fun night - would do it again. In three months. Definitely not something to make a habit of…

4:00am, headed out. Satified with my play, had patience and made strong plays. Other than a few key hands, lasting the way I did was all patience and strategy. My chip count was mostly down all night except for the massive triple I wrote up before.
Taken out after super strong hand play but bad beats, 6 hours of play, most of it on initial buy in.
Now. Home. Training complete. .

I am in Atlantic City.
I am playing 1/3 No Limit. I have been playing for hours and surviving for quite a while. I had pocket rockets with a heart.
Flop comes down KQ3 with 3 hearts.
Player calls my all in against me with 100 dollars, AQ off suit.
A Q comes dowm at the end, but it is the Q of HEARTS, making me the nut flush against 3 queens.
250 dollar pot brings me to even. .

I’m playing in a 25 cent game on Pokerstars with over 3500 players.
I swung all the way to 12th place, then after the second break (midnight) I decided I wanted to go to bed. We’re down to about 400 players. Started playing super fast and loose. Went from 30000 (which was still high average) all the way down to 2000 chips with the blinds at 1000/2000. In other words, I should have been out.
My final all in, I triple. Then I double. Then I triple again. Within just 7 rounds I’m back up to 23,000 and well in the game, and now there are only 244 players.
I guess I’m playing for a little while longer..
—- Edit —-
about 40 minutes later, I exit in 170th place. Silly all in, I’m big blind and I know I’m dominated but I want to go to bed, so I go all in with A2 off suit. I’m up against JJ and AQ — and although a 2 comes out the hail mary that would have been necessary to save my sorry sleepy ass didn’t come. And I was very happy — cus I’m tired and still healing.. So its off to bed for me. ;p
