Photopost : Kite Aerial Photography in Juniper Park

April 30th, 2012 No comments

Went on down to Juniper Valley Park with Oshi and her family — the winds were strong and the kite went flying. The rig held up well this time, and having an assistant to hold the kite while rigging the camera helped. Camera still didn’t grab everything I wanted, but I’m getting a hang of rigging it now. I will probably build or purchase a more workable KAP setup soon.

Of particular note – a falcon went and buzzed the camera rig this time around. Unfortunately, the camera had decided to turn off on its own during that run. It was great though!

Crosspost : Code Monkey

Okay, here comes another one of my somewhat rare crossposts. This video was done by an extremely talented friend of mine down in Atlanta. Most of you know her as idleambition. Some of you may know of her because of her costumes. However, she’s first and foremost a talented artist.

She posted this video recently. I love this video. The highest compliment I think that can be applied to music videos is if the music video actually prompts you to go out and get the music. That’s what I’m doing now.

Enjoy.

Niagara Falls – Video from Behind the Falls

Behind the falls .. Big water is big

Video

*edit* – Changed title and info – this is a phone video post of one of the viewing ports from behind the Horseshoe falls at Niagara Falls. Unfortunately you can’t see much at the low resolution – the sound and effect was amazing. Viewed in person you can see the mist boiling up past the water. The sound of the falls is a true white noise – it penetrates and overrides the hearing but in a pleasant manner.
