The visitors center at Times Square has a fun little project involving the collection of wishes on confetti, to be thrown into the air during New Year’s Eve celebrations. The messages spread a wide range, from the completely inane “Sex sex sex money and maybe a little more sex” to sweet messages like the one above.

Mmmm, I got a package in the mail today… What could it possibly be?
They were pretty clear about this warning...
So, thanks to circumstances and timing — I will be going to the West Coast for a few days at the end of the month. I will start in Los Angeles, and end in Las Vegas. In between is somewhat open.
At the very least I’ll try to wander Los Angeles, and then I’ll probably take a bus to Las Vegas. Possible detours include Malibu, San Diego or Santa Barbara.
Goal is to travel light, travel fast, and camp out on people’s floors.
Any suggestions?

Have been busy lately setting up my Facebook variant of this site, but I’ve still be taking shots. Here’s one of the shadows cast by the New York Times building around Midday.
I love the striped pattern, and want to send a small flashmob of people to run down the street and play hopscotch in the light.
