FUNimation Adds Oh! Edo Rocket Alternate-History Anime (Updated) – Anime News Network

This excites me for silly reasons.  This is the show I got to watch getting recorded back in 2007 on my birthday in Tokyo.   XD

Ensemble cast, looks like alot of fun!

Everybody dance around the world…

December 26th, 2008 No comments

Best wishes to all of you as we approach the end of the year.  Its been a rough one for alot of us — but we’re at the end of it.  Hang in there.

I’m at work today, taking care of business.  Alot of atypical work — lots of paperwork to finish.  Nature of the game really – its a miracle that I’m in the financal industry and have work at all..

Playing poker online in the last week has averaged out to $50/hour.   I consider this a an atypical up-streak.  If it maintains though, it’s not a bad secondary source of income…

I tripled up against my family playing poker this past Christmas eve.  In some ways that’s a greater achievement than my online up-streak.  Sharks, all of them!  ;)

The holiday has abused my diet and my body — I haven’t gained weight but my waist is tight…  But… holiday food… mmmm so tasty…

Now that the holiday season is almost over, my schedule starts to free up a little bit.  I hope.  This means, Mid-Week Eats gets resurrected come the new year.

No news on the “dating” front.  Some days I feel like the box of cereal on the shelf in the supermarket that has an inch of dust on it!

Have been working my way through Orson Scott Card’s “Ender” series of books, and have been rereading King’s ”Dark Tower” series.   Mmmm, excellent reading.

Disgaea DS has taken over my DS playing time.   Its absolutely a pure numbers level grinding game, but addictive nonetheless.

What’s up with the apartment in Harlem?  @(&% if I know, I really do think they ran out of money for nails and can’t finish the rental side of the building.   I’m getting really pissed off now.   Once the new year hits I send them another email going “Hey, what’s up..”    At this point I’m seriously thinking Woodside/Sunnyside is a viable alternative…

UCC Instant Coffee is still instant coffee, but its damned good instant coffee..

Friday I’m in Love.  At least, I’m wearing the T-Shirt.   It came in the mail today.  I had to put it on immediately.

Finally watched “The Dark Knight” — I can see why people loved it.

That’s it really.  2008 seems to be wrapping up with a quiet “poomf”.

We return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Apparently, Tuesday is Poker Night

December 24th, 2008 No comments

Okay, I really did not plan on this happening.   See, it was Tuesday night.  I was home.  I decided to get some more practice at oversize tournaments online.  So I entered a $2.20 tournament.     Apparently Tuesdays are good days for me and poker tournaments, as I cruised my way deep into the tournament.

3006 players, 7.5 hours.   Last week in the same tournament I made 3rd place.

This week, I came out 1st.   *FLEX*   Pokerstars Bankroll is now SOLID.   Either that or I just won myself a couch when I get my apartment.  XD

Now I need sleep!  *whimper*    Stats and my ongoing facebook commentary during the tournament, after the cut.

December 19th, 2008 No comments

Alright, so Amazon has a bunch of tracks up for free, 1 a day for the Christmas Season.

So I know most of you scream in agony at the thought of further invasion of your ears, but there really are a few tracks that are decent.   I’ll list them below the cut.  :)

The $54 million pants suit unravels again – CNN.com

So…  Can anyone explain how this Ex-Administrative judge can continue this kind of absurdity?  54 Million Dollars for a mistaken pair of pants?  Really?

How is this NOT a vendetta?  How can he not be taken to task for this kind of abuse?  How has he not been “removed” by a mob for being a dumbass?

Spike my punch please, Keanu wants the lead role in Bebop..

December 18th, 2008 No comments

As noted on ANN, as per MTV’s movies blog.  Keanu Reeves, (in)famous movie actor, has expressed interest in the lead role in a proposed 20th Century Fox adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.

I might bleed from the eye sockets.   Really.

That being said, there’s more in the article that might be of interest to those of you following the development of this adaptation.  Word is they’re going to flesh out the “Redeye” story — which COULD be interesting actually.

Color me skeptical.  I suspect I’ll have Redeye myself if and when this movie comes out.  Because I’ll be bleeding from the eyes.

Redundant redundancy

Okay. Someone in my business meeting just said, “if you can do an analytical analysis it would be ideal.”
…. He is a consultant. Billed by hour. Does he bill by the word??! AUGH! .
