Wednesday Ruminations – things are OK-laaa.

October 22nd, 2008 No comments

On my cab ride to Penn Station today, I ended up in the cab with a Cantonese speaking driver, listening to the Cantonese AM radio station.  Listening to the traffic report, it struck me that the phrase “OK” has worked its way into any Cantonese speaker who has lived either in the states or in HK.  Its even has Cantonese modifiers applied to it.  For example, “OK” becomes “OKlaaaa” when things are only sorta OK.   I found this amusing.

Go Speed Racer Go, Mach a Go Go!

I want to play Penn Station Train Track KENO.   Take odds as to which train track your particular train is going to go on, or go for combinations.  “I’ll take the 9:10 on track 2, with the 9:15 on track 7 and the outside track 13 for the delayed 8:30 to Washington DC.”

Well its a lie its a lie – don’t you believe it, if you’re fine then you’re fine – its all how you see it.

I’m sipping away at my coffee, with sore shoulderblades, sore arms, sore legs and sore buttocks.  Its a good sore, although I really need to stretch a bit or I’m going to lose range of motion.   Getting through induction and my carb addiction is slow going this time around tho.  Probably because I’m quasi cheating all the time..  Cream in the coffee, etc.. Grrr…

Ain’t notihin’ gonna break my stride, Nobody’s gonna slow me down, oh-no, I got to keep on movin’!

Sunseenli said it right, I’ve got senioritis when it comes to the con scene now.

And that good people is why, he got dolled up and dropped by, with sixty elephants…

Busted out of a 25 cent tourney yesterday.  I had K2 with two kings on the board, giving me trip kings.  The opponent had the other K and a kicker that had also paired, giving him the full house.  *mutter*

How many times can I break till I shatter, over the line can’t define what I’m after..

Quick, here’s a meme!  I deliberately did NOT mark states that I only passed through.
