Thoughts : Photo Assignments

Okay.. something a little meme-like, just for fun.

I feel like using my camera more. Obviously, since I’ve been trying to post photos at least once a day.

Soooooo….

Tell me what you’d like to see photographs of. You can ask for a topic, but I will exercise discretion on how I interpret your request. However this isn’t a one way street! If you ask me to take a photo, after I’ve taken the photo and posted it, I will expect a photographic response from you!

Come on - there are enough photo geeks out there. And you don’t need to be a photo geek to play! Lets have some fun with this! XD

Its a chilly wednesday, its hump day, everyone’s busy, there are tornados tearing through Virginia, and my coffee is cold.

I think we need something cute to look at.

Leica Camera AG - Photography - D-Lux 3

Oh dear god.. I may turn into a three camera person.

My SLR for “serious” shoots, my G9 as my travel and easily transported camera.. and this little baby as my pocket camera..

Leica Camera AG - Photography - D-Lux 3

Check it out. The thing looks like it has full A, S and M camera modes, it can shoot in JPEG and RAW, and its s Leica lens! Ooooooh baby. I think I’m drooling.

*edit*

Okay did a little more research.  I’m no longer drooling, but it might have been a contender if I’d seen this series camera before getting the G9.  The Leica is almost hand in hand the same as the Panasonic DMC-LX2 — and it basically has the main problems most compact cameras have.  Lots of noise, above ISO 200 it gets nasty.   Its also not quite as small and easy to carry around as the Elph was — and if that’s going to be the case I might as well carry the G9…

… Sooo - that is that.  G9 is still my primary walking camera.  XD

New Week, new leak

I had to throw myself off the NJ Transit train today, literally.   See, I fell asleep.  I fell asleep with headphones blasting in my ears, to drown out the sounds of a screaming child unchecked by her apathetic parent.   I woke up to the realization that my stop was right outside the window.  I did NOT manage to jump out the train before the doors closed.  I managed to throw myself between the closing doors.   Thankfully the auto-sensors triggered..

Its raining.  The sky is leaking.  So did my coffeemaker this morning.  So did I, but my leak was controlled and aimed at least.  The coffeemaker was not.

I’ve got an awful lot to do this week.

Totoro Tie
Totoro Tie Arch
In other tidbits - I bought myself one high(ish) ticket item while at the Studio Ghibli museum.   I love this tie.   From a distance it just looks like a mostly normal office tie.   I think I’ll wear this if I do the speed dating thing again — I think it’ll be a nice way to screen the mundanes from the less than mundane.. ;)
