Say, What Chu Looking At?

I’m 6’3.  Sitting in economy for a cross pacific flight originating on the EAST COAST?  Its torture.

So my unfortunate delay in trying to snag upgrades (and paying for it!) on American Airlines for my trip to Tokyo in three weeks?  Might have nixed my upgradability.  Its always disheartening to hear “Well, looking at availability on the flight, it looks mediocre.  But three weeks isn’t bad for booking business class so we’ll keep our fingers crossed, you might get lucky!”

…. I paid 150 bucks to get extra miles to make me eligible for the upgrade.  I hope I didn’t throw those 150 dollars away.   The thought of sitting economy for that flight again makes my legs cry.

(yeah yeah, I know, I could have considered ANA or JAL.  I figured the extra money saved to Otakon will be spent on the booth to make that part of my life easier..)   

… anyhow yeah I know.  I’m whining about going to Tokyo.   But when 50% of a trip is getting there?   I’d like to not want to cut off my legs, thanks.  ^_^;;

So.. I procrastinate by picking up other things and finding things to do. Interesting things to do. Anything to keep me from doing what I need to do. Sometimes this means I get productive and get other things that need doing done.. Tonight it meant I uh. Picked up something and did it. I’ll reshoot these another day with my big lights strobing, but the G9 did a decent job capturing a few card jumps. Unfortunately, silly me, the one PERFECT catch was shot when there wasn’t a memory card in the camera. BIG OOPS. YOU FAIL.

NO, not Dallas BBQ. We’ll be invading RUB, at 208 W. 23rd street. Reviews are mostly good but definitely has its haters too.. So we’ll have to give it the test.
