Canon PowerShot SD850 IS now for sale
Yarr!
Its the shortest turnaround time ever for one of my cameras. I am considering selling my Canon Powershot SD850IS — freshly purchased in early August, this thing is in effect brand new. I love the picture quality, most of my “walkabout” camera shots are taken from this unit.
The SD850IS has been replaced by a slightly upgraded model. I am however moving to a Canon G9 as my walkabout camera, because I want the RAW file ability back in my greedy, grubby little camera lusting hands. XD
Now, I will actually end up keeping the camera if I decide that the G9 is simply too big to use as a walkabout (IE : Carry 24/7) camera like I do my Elph. However I am opening it up to consideration here — if you’re interested in the camera, yell now. I am looking at around $250 from the “public”, so if you know me and are interested ping me and we’ll talk.

Someone doesn’t want me to quit this poker game just yet..
I’m playing in a 25 cent game on Pokerstars with over 3500 players.
I swung all the way to 12th place, then after the second break (midnight) I decided I wanted to go to bed. We’re down to about 400 players. Started playing super fast and loose. Went from 30000 (which was still high average) all the way down to 2000 chips with the blinds at 1000/2000. In other words, I should have been out.
My final all in, I triple. Then I double. Then I triple again. Within just 7 rounds I’m back up to 23,000 and well in the game, and now there are only 244 players.
I guess I’m playing for a little while longer..

about 40 minutes later, I exit in 170th place. Silly all in, I’m big blind and I know I’m dominated but I want to go to bed, so I go all in with A2 off suit. I’m up against JJ and AQ — and although a 2 comes out the hail mary that would have been necessary to save my sorry sleepy ass didn’t come. And I was very happy — cus I’m tired and still healing.. So its off to bed for me. ;p
Saturday Night at Nekocon is… Poker night!
Alrighty folks.
Those of you going to Nekocon - I will run a poker tournament or two Saturday after dinner. The bonus? Since standard time takes effect, we will have an extra hour of play! For those of us who do not do masquerade, there will be some form of cash game, followed up with poker till dawn. Or however late we care to go.
All levels of players are welcome - as some of you know I am perfectly happy to teach as well as play, and my games tend to be fun for newbies as well as experienced players.
If you’re interested, chime in!
Mostly back to normal.
I’m back home. Got out of the hospital on Monday, now I just have to take it easy and recover. If you want details find me on AIM or next time you see me and I’ll tell yua what happened. However for now, all body parts are intact and I just need to not be stupid or crazy.
… And I lost another 7 pounds. Yikes.

(Scaring the poor nurses too, hearing the phrase “Hey *blank* your patient is back” is amusing but probably caused a moment of WTF there..
Anyhow waiting for tests tomorrow, if all is well I get to go home.

*grumble* Real Estate blog for the rest of us, anyone?
Alright folks. City folks specifically.
Are there any real estate blogs for the rest of us? You know, the people who don’t have rich parents to pay for apartments? I’m so utterly disgusted by seeing sites like curbed.com that I really need to find people who talk about living in the city for the 90% of us who can’t afford it.
In other words, someplace that doesn’t cater to the people that you all know I am simultaneously jealous of and disgusted by.
*edit* By the way, those of you who work for the money and have earned the money to pay for those outrageously pricey apartments? Thumbs up to you! I’m annoyed by the rich spoiled brats that take up spaces for no reason and wonder why everyone else wants them to die.
Suggestions and recommendations are welcome.
Being busy and bored simultaneously.
I’m in the nasty little position of being both extremely busy and bored at the same time. Its reflecting in everything I’m working on — I’ve got alot to do and no drive to do it, so what I actually accomplish is a little too generic for my taste. There’s no kick to it! *grumble*
I’m actually able to track it by my photo posts lately — when I’m doing well I tend to have alot of things on my camera to post, and I can actually successfully post a picture a day. At the moment I haven’t been posting much at all, and when I do post I’ve had to scrounge for something to post — not a good sign. (Mind you I haven’t done much scrounging in my archive. That’s a different matter.)
On some different notes : 40′ HD TV makes me pine for more HD programming. Any suggestions?
Also, I have been sick these past 7 days or so, but I’ve avoided the hospital trip. Hopefully not to my later dismay. (I already lost my last vacation day for the year.)
Finally, got my cousin’s guitar restrung and started to try and learn, and immediately found that I cannot put three fingers on one fret. That does not bode well for my chances of successfully learning guitar.
Coming up - total computer nuking and rebuilding, trip to philly, trip to nekocon.
