So, I’m recovering slowly from my trip to Toronto. Of course, I have a minor fuck-ton of stuff to get done, and I’m still catching up. Story of my life — I split my attention between so many things (including stupid things) that I never quite get any one thing accomplished. Ahh well — you don’t care about that.. If you care about anything, its the photos right? So here they are — all 298 photos from the SD 850..
Photos from the “guide Doc” challenge to come later.. For now, my favorites after the cut.
This pool like structure by Main Street seemed odd until we realized it is likely a skating rink during the winter. Buffalo was oddly humid and warm — and the water was not inviting… In fact the black surface looks like the being that killed Tasha. ^_^ That being said, it did a great job reflecting Main Street.
The waterfalls at Niagara are amazing. The Canadian side is the place to go, with a beautiful view of the Horseshoe falls and a rainbow in sight the whole time.
Watching the viewing boats get swept to the side the minute they turned the boat never ceased to amuse. Straining against a force of nature like that seems so blatantly futile.
As always, I need some artsy fartsy photo of light and objects.
Lake Ontario is huge. Saturday was bright and sunny, and a wonderful day to wander and explore the Lakeside Park. True, we didn’t make it out to Toronto, but it was still worth the trip to simply wander and relax by the water.
Hello Mr. President. You goofy Americans.. ^_^;;
The lake and its various natural nooks and crannies was simply beautiful.
Hey look, I’ve found a friend!
The ladybug tickled as it wandered all over my hand.
More shots of the flora in the area.
Sailboat! Come here! I want to take a ride!
Jupe’s cats were the mellowest I’d ever seen.
Poutine. Mmmm, potato fries, salty, covered in cheese curds and gravy. Served by a place called New York Fries, oddly enough..
A picture of people taking pictures of people taking pictures.. Will the madness ever stop?
Kat got this picture of the bridal party and me during the formal lakeside shoot. Hong says I look like cheap paparazzi. He might be right.
The sunset says goodbye as I wait for my (much delayed) plane in Buffalo..
