Dry Aged Standing Rib Roast with Sage Jus Recipe: Recipes: Food Network
Thank you Alton Brown. So tasty, sooo tasty.. The roast itself came out perfect. I adjusted the recipe, no terry cotta pot, my oven is even enough it isn’t needed. I also add some cayenne pepper to the crust to give it a little zing. The sauce got ruined tho — the cooking wine had turned sour. (YUCK.)
Yes ladies, this is the kind of meal I cook — I supply MEAT..

Depending on weather forecast, I’m thinking of going either Friday Night, August 24th to try and catch fireworks or any day next weekend (preferably Saturday daytime). Barring that, Labor Day itself might be the day. Any takers?
New Gallery – August 18 2007 Photowalk
So I had this post all written out, then something burped and the entire thing got eaten. Augh – and I was so happy I could go to bed too..
Anyway, a new gallery has been uploaded – some shots from my wandering around town today. About 5.25 miles walked in the afternoon, then another 3.7 miles walked after the movie and dinner. A good day’s wandering!
Stardust is worth seeing – its alot of fun and simply entertaining through and through. I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil it — but since some plans got cancelled today I will be scheduling another trip so people have another opportunity to see it! I would pay money twice to see it. Dinner at Why Curry was great too. Good food and good company all day.
came home and got a nasty little surprise – a roach had wandered onto my desk and startled the shit out of me as I typed out some emails. I didn’t want to just crush it on my desk so I grabbed the nearest aerosol to choke it to death. Unfortunately that was a can of AXE body spray – so my entire desk smells like “Phoenix” now.
I desperately need some sleep so I can try and hit Coney Island as planned tomorrow. So go check out the pics, I’ve annotated them there.. And… Doc OUT.
